Brisbane Shakespeare Festival

The Brisbane Shakespeare Festival is Australia's largest festival of all things Shakespearean, featuring plays, poetry, music, film and food, with many free events for the whole family!

The Bard's back! He couldn't stay away from Brisbane's charm (and sunlight, a nice relief from Old London Town), and he's bringing more entertainment than ever!

The 2013 Brisbane Shakespeare Festival is now in its 8th year, and will expand to include three locations!
Shakespeare by the Bay, Sandgate: 21-22 September 2013
Shakespeare on Oxford, Bulimba: 28-29 September 2013
Shakespeare in West End, West End: 5-6 October 2013

The highlight of each weekend will be a FREE performance of Shakespeare's hilarious comedy "The Taming of the Shrewt", directed by the superb CATARINA HEBBARD, and starring JESS LOUDON, PETER RASMUSSEN, plus many more fine Shakespearean actors.

"The Taming of the Shrew" - Free and suitable for all ages!
Sunday 22 September 3pm: Einbunpin Lagoon Park, Sandgate
Sunday 29 September 3pm: Bulimba Memorial Park, Bulimba
Sunday 6 October 3pm: Musgrave Park, West End
